Losing the Unique
Shifted Gallery, Richmond, Victoria. September 9- 26, 2009
Losing the Unique combined the works of Jasmine Targett and Debbie Symons. The works explore the multi-faceted anthropogenic ecological identity, with its concerns in the archiving and documentation of the natural environment, and, the consequences of these actions. As we discuss the depth of our history and reassess our future, we must not stand to silence the call of an entire species and loose the uniqueness of an individual voice. The works seek to discuss the conundrum of our ecological situation and reflect on the relationship between man and nature.
